"We were at our realtor's office, having flown in to make an offer on a home.  We weren't crazy about the home but it met several of our needs.  While at her office she said lets just take another look here before we start and she looked in the sf range below what we had put in and as soon as we saw a large photo of the fireplace we knew we wanted to see it, small or not.  We drove up and it had a tile roof.  A plus for me - I've always wanted a tile roof.  We walk in, and all of the blinds are open, and there is all the space and the fireplace.  Then I discover the island/bar.  I am on cloud nine at this point.  But - we must have grass for my husband - so lo and behold we walk out of the back door and there is that beautiful yard and irrigation system and our own tree!  We decided that this far exceeded the other home we were going to make an offer on, even though it was smaller - so many positives that we had to make an offer.  We never regretted it.  The quiet location, views of the mountains turning red at sunset, the full moon rising over the Manzanos; if you walk across the street, you can see the sunset behind the house - breathtaking.  Walk to the corner and you can see the mesa in outline relief, all of the homes with the sunset behind...glorious sights.
